Transitioning from IM Test Cyp to SQ/shallow IM

I am preparing to switch from deep IM injections of Test Cyp @ 2x per week, and separate HCG injections, to the method shown in Nelson's video which combines TC and HCG in one smaller syringe also 2 x per week.
Can anyone who's made this change advise if there will be an adjustment period or is there anything special to consider when switching?
I am feeling good on my current protocol which causes a bit of reluctance to change anything.
Also has anyone experienced a change (up or down) in blood levels when using the same dose but switching to SQ?
Thanks in advance!

Anytime you change something you're going to go through an adjustment period, whether that's subq in the belly, or IM (or shallow) IM, taking CYP and HCG together, its of real benefit to weigh out why you want to change if you're feeling good now. Not to dissuade you, those are MAJOR changes that in many ways are going to reset everything and kind of start you over. Then you could have a seamless transition, theres so much individuality here. Obviously you're going to get different results from IM and subq, then as far as I'm concerned, that's A LOT of hormonal product to be getting at one-time. It's a popular modality to use them together and I suspect it's merely a convenience aspect of reducing the number of injections. When I've tried Cyp and HCG at the same time, it threw me for a hormonal loop that I didn't like.

I am a firm believer in not fixing something that's not broken.

If your current protocol is working for you and you feel good why change for the sake of just changing?

Gene I typically agree with the "not broken" philosophy and as Vince mentioned the convenience of only 2 shots per week IS appealing but also I am a little concerned about doing a deep IM injection into my outer quads, once per leg/per week forever (its the only place I am comfortable doing an IM injection). Maybe its not a concern as I've felt nothing that would appear to be scar tissue but I was thinking its better to address that before it happens than react if/when it does?
I am also curious if SQ Test would convert to DHT to a greater or lesser degree than IM (my DHT is off-scale high) plus many on here seem to really like the 2 x week combo shots. But I'm tending to agree that its taken a long time to hone in on my current protocol so now I'm quite reluctant to change. But since I've started I would like to ask;

- Does anyone have any feedback on how scar tissue would become apparent?
- Does everyone get scar tissue eventually?
- Does anyone have feedback about how the switch from IM to SQ affected them?
- Does SQ Test convert to DHT at a different rate than IM?

Thanks to all for past and future responses!!

scar tissue is street legend as far as Im concerned. I've been challenged on that...to which I say maybe you need to go on creams or patches, maybe injections are what you want to commit to. Done smartly, rotating injection sites, you should have no issue with scar tissue, ever.

If this can help in anyway, I started TRT with once a week injections on my butt cheeks (performed by a nurse), moved to 2x week self administered SQ injections into my belly fat and then finally to 2x week shallow IM (30/31g needle size) into my quads, without any significant change in T levels.

I don't think scar tissue is an issue when using small, insulin needles.

The only change I think will be, how much more simpler it is. I don't think your levels will change, if you don't like it you can always go back to your old protocol. I really like injecting in my shoulders :)

I switch from glute IM to glute SubQ about 6 weeks ago. No real difference noticed so far. I guess I'll see in about a month if it makes a difference in the bloodwork numbers.

My thoughts- SubQ lowered my estradiol nicely and provided a slight drop in total testosterone (adjusted for by upping my dose by a very small amount.

I switched from IM 2x a split dose to SQ
Maybe I missed something ( possibly quite obviously ) from some of the earlier posts about an adjustment period.
I was unaware of any adj period and did not experience one
It was a personal perference to use a smaller needle

I switched from deep IM in glutes once every two weeks in doctor's office to home SQ in the abdomen 2x/week then to home shallow IM (1/2 inch needle) in my quads.

All 3 methods worked well. I changed because I did not want to have to go to the doctor's office and I did not want to self-inject with a large needle.
