Test/Hcg and no A.I.

Hi Folks, after reading quite a bit about the use or non use of an A.I. on TRT, I'm strongly going with not using it for the initial few weeks being as my E2 levels were tanked at blood work. But I'm also concerned my E2 was low because I stopped my own trt and went cold turkey for 2 weeks prior to blood work, so I'm not sure if they'll spike from 200mgs/wk of Cyp and 500mgs of hcg, which will be administered in half doses 2 times/wk.
How long should I wait until getting blood work done to get an accurate reading for T levels and E2? I was thinking a month would be a good idea?

personally I would go at least 6 weeks, before labs

Estrogen serum levels move slowly so I don't that those two weeks had as a dramatic effect as you may think.

Vince is correct, 6 weeks on injections is good enough time to get accurate values.

My rationalization was to not take the anastrolzole for the first 4 weeks and get my own bloodwork done and if E2 was high I could begin using it for 2 weeks so when I get blood work done by the Dr. I'd be good.
My Dr. seems convinced that I need .5mgs of an A.I. on his protocol, but if I can avoid it, I'd rather. But I don't want him knowing I'm trying to tweak his protocol either. Is it likely I crashed e2 from coming off Cyp for 2 weeks? Prior to this I suspected it was too high as I was retaining water and had a lousy sex drive. Now I'm not sure wtf to think lol, jeez this is confusing as hell.

Do all you can to stick to a six week protocol before testing. Adjusting anything during that time is like resetting the clock and starting over again. Try to keep moving parts to a minimum. All the best.

You are doing the smart thing to see if you need an AI before taking one. Just hold off for the 6 weeks and you will know.

FWIW, 0.5 mg of Anastrozol is a pretty hefty dose. Those of us that take any AI are usually using a far smaller dose.

This is my exact protocol... I do 200mg IM shot on Wednesday and over the last couple months add 250 units of HCG on Monday and then Tuesday just prior to my shot... My Doctor is really blind to anything and he simply does whatever I ask him... When I was on the shot alone I felt good but didn't like the testicular shrinkage... After reading I add what I thought was a very low dose of HCG.. My total T without the HCG on day 6 would be 800-950 range... Here was my most recent labs-

Total T - 1323 Range 250-1100 ng/ml
Estradiol - 59 Range 20-75 pg/ml

I don't feel very good... Weak erections and very low libido... Should I stop the HCG or look into an AI? Or would a cream/gel and HCG combo work better?

I'd suggest you make your own thread where we can concentrate on your therapy.
