Trying to find info on splitting cialis pils is harder than I thought. I've seen it mentioned here that dissolving in vodka then administering the liquid with a syringe is an option. Also wondering if there's an alternative to alcohol as a solvent. I do have lengthy periods of abstention, and would prefer to avoid micro-dosing booze, but if unavoidable, hey

Reading generally, I see it's discouraged to split pils that are coated. Presumably this is because it might affect the intended slow release effect. With daily cialis, this shouldn't matter, right? Would there be any impact on potency if say the pills were just crushed and divided?

Motives are wishing to start with 1mg daily and up titrate from there, but also cost optimisation. 2.5mg pills are a rip off gram for gram.

I can’t recommend daily cialis enough. I love everything about this Med. I do dissolve mine in vodka. Alcohol is a great solvent. I’m not sure what could be substituted that would work as well. Going to be near impossible to micro dose without dissolving. Good luck

It seems that a lot of men on this forum split 5mg Cialis Daily in half to get 2.5mg as you probably have read. I used to split my 20mg Cialis tablet in 4 to get 4 X 5mg but I never dissolved it in alcohol before taking it. However, I tolerate 5mg daily just fine.
My assumption is that if splitting 20mg, 10mg, 5mg, is feasible and effective, splitting 2.5mg in half should be the same.
I currently have a script for 5mg tablets that cost the same as the 2.5mg tablets and the price is quite low compared to the 10mg and 20mg which is prohibitive in my opinion. I take the full 5mg Daily as it agrees with me as I said above. 20mg definitely seem to be too high a dose for me as it gives me a very bad heartburn every single time. Have you tried a pill-splitter? That would give you 1.25mg X 2 though. If you want to get 5-1mg doses by crushing two 2.5 mg tablets my guess is that you’d have to go by weight then. The tablets are awfully small, I don’t know if any scale would detect such a minuscule amount. Of course you might crush 4x 2.5mg to get 10X 1mg, etc.

If I get to 5mg ED (probable) I will split the 20s into 4 like you suggest. I was interested in whether there's any reason not to split (most places outside this forum seem to say you shouldn't) but I'm sure there's no problem with it from people's experience here.

With current UK prices, it's less than $1/£1 per day for sure for daily use - awesome.

My doctor’s script on 20mg Cialis clearly says to take half a pill or one whole as needed. He himself told me to split it. Likewise with 100 mg Viagra. Back in the day, I used to split the Viagra in 4 and it worked just fine too. The patent hadn’t been released yet and my health insurance only paid for 4 tablets of either Viagra or Cialis brand name. Now, I can get Tadalafil 5mg daily for 66 cents per pill for a 90 day supply at Costco Pharmacy. The more I buy the cheaper it gets. Cash price (no insurance needed). Some guys in this forum get it covered by their health insurance if prescribed to treat BPH. If I manage to get it covered by my health insurance my copay will drop to 30$ for 90 tablets or 33 cents per pill.
That vodka shot sounds good... then cheers and happy erections

It’s definitely the easiest and most accurate way to dose very small amounts. Once you titrate up to 5mg per day you won’t have to worry about it anymore.

There’s no need to use alcohol, but if you do use alcohol just swallow your pill with your daily dose of therapeutic bourbon, sake, beer, et al... Also, it’s not going to matter if you are taking Cialis daily and “eyeball” splitting the pills, so maybe one day you’re getting 5 mg, the next 4.5 mg, the next 5.5 mg, etc... Cialis has a half-life of 18 hrs so your body won’t notice such slight variations.

Can you elaborate? Other guys here claim Costco’s tadalafil is in the $30s retail. Were they quoting you name brand by chance?

I have mine filled at Costco for 30$ for a 30 day supply of 5mg of Tadalafil. The 20mg tablets jump to a ton of money if that’s what they were giving you instead. However, even though Cotsco has what they call “cash prices” you can use the Good RX coupon for 44$ I believe. That coupon works with a lot pharmacies (CVS is 89$) and prices differ from pharmacy to pharmacy. GoodRx.com. Walmart charges 97$ for the same amount and strength so I transferred my script to Costco. Anyway, it’s possible to get a month’s worth of 5mg Tadalafil tablets for a lot less than 700$.

Yeah buying generic Cialis and Viagra is super inexpensive and works great. I never wanted to try either, but when I finally did, the women all loved it. The first time I started was when I was 60 years old and I'm happy that I did. I know men much younger than me that use Cialis, just to turn their women crazy.
