SubQ Injections and blood test

Hey Everyone,

First post after reading on and off for a while.

I switched over to subq injections following the video by Dr Crissler, I find this much easier and quicker to do.

I take 200mg per week of Depo Test/Test Cyp (200mg/ml) - I usually inject 0.25ml Mon,Wed,Fri, Sun - when would be the best time to retest where my blood levels are at?

I knew about doing subQ shots over 13 yrs ago after reading that Dr. Shippen was doing this to his self he was doing 2 shots / every 3 days at 40 mgs. / shot for a total of 80 mgs. He said doing this keeps one more leveled and helps to keep Estradiol down. I asked my Dr. about doing this he said yes to doing 80 mgs E3D but no to doing them subQ. He told me to use a small 27g 1ml. x 1/2" lg. needle and to shoot into my thigh. Well about a yr. ago when Dr. John started letting some of his men do shots subQ my Dr. let me try this.

I can't say enough good things about doing this I just wish I did this a long time ago. In all the yrs. 33 of them that I have been on TRT the Dr.'s that would treat me and I seen many of them did not know what they were doing my levels were to low and when I asked about testing Estradiol E2 levels they told me this is not a problem men have.

Today for me I need my levels of TT up into the upper 1/3 of my labs range and I need to keep my E2 down to less then 20 pg/ml my SHBG is lower 20 so I need to keep my E2 near 15 pg/ml.

As for doing labs on this I do my labs the morning of my next Test C shot but before it.

OP - With your injection protocol it makes no difference when you get blood pulled as you serum levels will pretty damn consistent.

I like your SC injection protocol.

Post your blood work here in this thread complete with ranges when you get them; be interesting to see where you stand.

If it helps I do labs every 10 weeks here are the last two on T levels and E2. And one thing the first set of numbers for TT was using the brand name Depo T the second one is using the Generic Test C. I think the generic is weaker.

Hi Gene,

I wish I could five yrs. ago I had open heart surgery never had a heart attack just some bad heartburn thanks to having a great Dr. he found 2 blocks going to my heart 99% blocked up. I got a bad infection in my chest after the surgery and they could not get it cleared up so they put me in a coma for 14 weeks. Until my Family Dr. head I was not doing well. He came to see me in the ICU and seen they took me off TRT he had them put me back on TRT and things got much better.

Still being in this coma did me in it's been a long hard road back and to add to all this when I got out of the hosp. they put me on Statin Drugs even when I told them I would not take them meds. They went and told my family I would not live out the yr. if I did not take them Statin Drugs. I never had high Chol. levels in my life my blockages were from all them yrs of low levels not getting the right hormone treatment.

I lasted 2 yrs on the Statin Drugs and from day one I had bad pain and sides from them but no one would listen to me until one morning I could not stand up or walk. It's been 3 yrs now off the Statin Drugs and I still can't stand up or walk with out being in a lot of pain and I need a walker to walk what little I can.

The last test on my heart Dr.'s told me my heart has recovered 100% and I should live a good 30 more yrs. I just turned 70 good luck on that one.

I am one of the few that doesn't benefit from SubQ. Makes sure you get tested at least 4 weeks after the new protocol and that your numbers haven't tanked as mine did. Gl and hope it works for you. It's certainly easier and less painful!

Hello new guy here. Been on TRT for over a year with the 3.5 day 60 mg IM test cyp with 250 iu HCG before test day protocol and love it. Took awhile to get doses right (more is not always better!) but now for the last 3 weeks I have been doing SC instead of IM. Been getting labs the day before my test shot but before I take my HCG shot. It will be interesting to compare numbers. Must say SC has been very very easy on me and so far no "noticeable" differences. Will post results for future discussion. I see a couple of mods here that were on another site and I am glad to have them here!
