Sub-Q injections becoming more painful, why?

Hi there, been injecting for about 5 weeks now, sub-q and abdominally with a 29g needle. At first, painless but injections this morning and Saturday were much more painful. I just found another injection site on my stomach which was much better after the initial painful prick. Is the pain due to hitting a spot that has scar tissue from a previous injection or something else? On Saturday the prick was really painful followed by bleeding for the first time. Otherwise, I've had no issue with pain or discomfort from sub-q.

Make sure you let the alcholol you swabbed the site with completely evaporate or you can get some sting.
