Guys, just a quick question with Testosterone levels being less than 200 and very week muscles can I be ever able to build muscles after being on TRT/HCG, is it even possible? Is there a case here that can help me understand. I see lots of people displaying their muscles and I wonder if I will be EVER able to make 1/2 of it? I just started TRT/HCG.

Everybody has a different genetic ability to build muscle well, or not so well. But it is fair to say that if your total T is under 200 and you have not trained previously, getting your total T into the 7-800 or more range and beginning a sensible training regimen that you can at least get a lot stronger than you are now. You may not ever look like a bodybuilder, but I would definitely expect a decent amount of strength gain for you even if you are a "hard gainer."

Never trained before I was intolerant to exercise, used to hurt my self easily like my shoulders for example but ended up finding that I had very very low T. Can I lose weight and gain some decent muscles to support my hip, shoulders and neck bones. I am in a great pain. Want to have energy and strength to go to the gym.

I would expect you to have a lot more energy with your total and free T raised to useful levels. Most guys do not really "feel" TRT until the are in the 700 or so total T levels. Have you done the recommended pre-TRT blood tests? Nelson has them outlined here.

Is TRT injection meant to be taken every week? Where is the best place to inject it?

Can you give us a detailed report on your protocol? How much testosterone are you injecting (in mgs)? How often are you injecting? Other ancillary medications (HCG, Anastrozole)? How long have you been following this protocol? you are asking very basic questions, which is fine, but can you explain what your doctor told you in regard to where and how often to inject. You sound as if you were not given a thorough understanding of what to expect with TRT.

Yes, it seems like your doctor did not explain any of this to you. Test cyp shots should be weekly at a minimum, with halving the dose and taking it twice week a better method because it keeps you at a more stable level and reduces conversion to E2. Unless you are in Europe and are getting the Nebido shot, which is good for 6-10 weeks, depending upon the person, between shots.

If you are on Test cyp, and have only had one shot so far (within a week of today) it is too early for you to really feel any changes for the better.

The fact is that in order to build or maintain muscle, you need normal or high normal testosterone. So, if you are really low, it's no wonder you can't make any gains in the gym. You probably don't even have the energy to do much in the gym.

As importantly, optimized testosterone has an effect on your "decision making tree". Imagine you are driving home from a long day at work...... Low T= continue driving home after a quick thought about stopping at the gym first. Higher T= thinking about going to the gym and actually going there.....

since you've never trained before and will be increasing your T levels you should be able to make gains easily. Don't know why you are in great pain but if it's bone or joint related you may want to check with your doc before training. start off slow and easy maybe just push-ups, assisted dips, chin-ups, lunges etc.. before actual weights. be careful not to join a gym and get talked into some of those free training sessions with trainers that want to see how bad they can hurt you on your first go round. see it all the time, beginner or even older person joins gets the free training session and the trainer works them so hard they can't move the next day and never come back.

Thanks much for responding, its a great help. I think I have hurt my bones/muscles because of low T and then exercising or from typing on keyboard etc.... I don't get one thing though. My doc gave me a TestC of 0.8 ml/week but also a 0.35 ml (350 IU) twice a week but my LH was already 5.6. Is it normal to take HCG to keep the testis healthy and sperm count up?Will I lose LH after being on TestC and not taking HCG?

My LH is 5.6 and with that is is bad to take an HCG? My doc said it will help my testes healthy and the sperm count being up. Please advise and tell me if this dosing will help?

Do I remember reading that your are Dr. Saya's patient? Defy is managing your TRT protocol? They know what they are doing; many Excelmale members are patients of theirs - you are in good hands. I only can urge you to be patient. Testosterone replacement therapy is a journey, a long one. You have just started the process. Results should become noticeable over time, weeks and months, not hours or days. When are you scheduled for follow-up lab work?

There was one screw up though as since it was the first time, I hit the HCG powder directly with the water and which kind a bother me now.

One mistake is nothing more than one mistake. Try your best to relax. Progress is measured in weeks, not hours.
