Starting trt issues, advice please!

I did state in my last post that we had “gone off on a tangent” and bought the subject back into point, the closed out by insinuating that I wouldn’t bring it back up!

It seems “Madman” has taken this personally and become fairly upset, you’ve pursued it further and with added very mild aggression.

Where I live in the UK a doctor is the last person you’re going to ask for advice on things like that, the NHS is government run and is set up to prioritise and protect the economy and NOT the population.

They will keep you alive if your about to die, as long as it’s not in the 48 hrs then you’re screwed as that’s how long an ambulance takes to arrive nowadays, but if your looking to optimise your health then forget it, you do that yourself.

So is the carrier oil a problem? Depends on the person, it’s very subjective and to get so upset that someone else doesn’t accept your opinion is absurd.

I’m in the business of trying to optimise my health, I make smart choices and mitigate risks wherever possible.

There is NO upside to cotton seed oil, for the user at least so for me personally I’ll swerve it in future.

I wouldn’t take it personally, it’s just my choice, if it’s not what you prefer I’m completely unperturbed.

Relax!

No one is upset here LOL.

It is my way of hammering the point home as it clearly keeps going over your head.

Again fretting over injecting 1mL or in most cases <1mL of a highly refined/purified oil WEEKLY let alone cottonseed is ludicrous!

Squirt that oil on your countertop and dwell on that negligible amount being injected WEEKLY as in 7 days!

You’ll get used to it… that’s how he interacts with pretty much everyone.

And notice, I didn’t say it(formula)was certainly the cause. I was just throwing out a hypothesis because I couldn’t really think of other things off the top of my head other than perhaps a psychosomatic response and because I’ve heard of others seeing improvements after switching. I even explicitly stated that it was just a guess and that there could be lots of other causes. But again he does that somewhat regularly (get caught up in a single statement out of an entire post and go on long rants about it). You’ll get used to it lol.

Either way, welcome to the forum and I’m glad that at least for the time being things seem to be improving for you!

Thanks Phil, today feels better than yesterday and the best I’ve felt in a while so I’m hoping for a good sleep tonight now it’s cooled down and that should help a lot.

The heat’s been antagonistic, and I think I should be about settling into my lowered dose anytime now.

I am a know fast metaboliser, one of the reasons I opted to administer daily so maybe after 2 weeks I'm down.

Could be a nervous system thing?

One thing I’m noticing on my Whoop is very elevated respiratory rate, even now the others metrics are trending down which probably indicates something?

It’ll no doubt all disappear with the same speed and mystery as it began, another way of the body showing us we don’t know as much we’d like to!

Carrier oils and other formulation differences can have huge impact in my experience.

Not saying this is necessarily the case here, but I've personally had palpitations and elevated respiratory rate associated with TRT due to its triggering of acid reflux. Refluxed acid and pepsin in the esophagus can irritate the vagus nerve and can disrupt normal heart rhythm. It can also affect breathing, due to gaseous reflux reaching the upper airways and lungs.

Just one commonly overlooked possibility to keep in mind. The reflux thing is a fairly well known side effect of elevated hormone levels (estradiol especially).

Well, I’ve suffered with reflux disease for years, and lately had a fair bit.

Though nothing of it, until now.

Well worth bringing that up, I thanks!

This morning I feel a huge amount better, heart rate through the night was 60 and respiratory rate dropped down to 16.5.
