Shipping Overseas Question

I have a family member who has a legit prescription for testosterone who is temporarily in Ireland. His testosterone is mailed to him, but has been lost in transit. Does anyone know how I could mail him some vials that I have? I would just ship the bottles without labels and I was thinking I would mail it in a large envelope, as the vials are small. I guessing since he has a legit prescription it’s ok, but am I wrong?

has anyone successfully shipped test to someone in Ireland like this? Any ideas on how to best do this? Thanks in advance.

You will have to declare the contents of the package, though the postal clerk isn't going to peek into the box/envelope and determine if you have been honest in your declaration. The issue is on the receiving end; if Irish customs opens the package - as they have a right to do - they may well wonder why a controlled substance is being mailed by someone other than the prescribing doctor...or why it's coming at all.

Living in Canada, I know the authorities do focus attention on controlled substances coming across the border.

I think if you package it right there is a good chance it will get there. There is a huge amount of drugs that are shipped by mail and while some get caught many don't. The Silk Road web site often shipped by mail. Plus, you are shipping sealed vials. Small, no smell and this may not be something they are looking for as the focus is on narcotics. There is a risk that you will lose them though and customs is more intense than in-country mail.

Shipping multi-dose vial/vials (no label) will definitely be a red flag for what the contents contain and customs will more than likely open the parcel especially coming from out of the country.

Large envelope will definitely get opened.

Of course it is illegal to give someone else a controlled substance which has been prescribed solely to you. Now you may be able to get creative with this...............just saying!

I thought all a traveller had to do was go to a local pharmacy and show them the Rx and they took care of it? They may want to contact your Doctor to confirm.

Thanks for the replies. The recipient of these is my son, a graduate student in Ireland. My wife fedexed him it last time, but the Rx had his name on it. He has been buying it from a guy he knows because it is about the same price and less hassle. FedEx gets it to him in 3days, but cost $90 dollars to ship from New Hampshire. I'm going to ship 3 vials and a note from me stating “here's your prescription “ or something to that effect. Imperative that he get it, as a T crash would probably really mess up his semester, which is currently going great. I figure the letter will show that there's nothing shady going on. He has a prescription, so what difference does it make where he get the test as long as it was purchased legally? I know it is illegal to share prescription meds, but I'm not worried, as we both have legitimate prescriptions.

Funny, I got on TRT when a physical my son had when he was 25 indicated a total testosterone level of approximately 200. I had mine tested the next physical I had and came in at around 375. Since I had many of the symptoms, I insisted on a referral to a specialist and was able to get insurance to cover seeing Abraham Morgantaler ‘s clinic in Boston.

Don't know what's going on environmentally, but there's something amiss when a 25 year old otherwise healthy male tests that low for total testosterone.
