SHBG or Sex Hormone Binding Globulin binds up the available Testosterone in your Blood, hence the naming Binding. There is a lot more to it but there is a start.

Correlating freeT DHT with estrogens/thyroid. SHBG ties up DHT/Total T and estrogens/thyroid signal the production of SHBG in the liver.
