Hello everyone I got my lab results back recently and was wondering if anyone here

can recommend something based on these results that will help with energy

levels, brainfog and drive in life which i seem to be lacking. With the llow shbg my t

levels don't seem to be terribly low however i do have symptoms which may or may not

be related to testosterone as dhea-s is low-normal as well as dht.I am 32 and met with

a anti-aging doc here in atlanta who says that i am too young to be shutting down

natural production with these levels. He reccomended 25 mg dhea-s(which i think is \

rather high) as well as 20 mg of zinc and omega 3.Any advice on how i can optimize

energy levels with these numbers would be great appreciated.Resistance training tends

to wear me down despite adequate carbohydrate, protein and fat intake.I stopped

weight training months ago and the only exercise i do and seem tolerate is chopping

wood,a set of pullups every other day or couple times a week and table tennis which i enjoy.

Thyroid labs are incomplete, you need fT3 tested as low fT3 can cause low energy levels, fat gain and brain fog. This is the free thyroid hormone and this result might explain why TSH is climbing, this would be the same as only measuring TT without regard for free T. A TSH of 2.8 is a thyroid in trouble not yet reaching the "disease status" when most doctors begin to act.

Free T is 13.3 ng/dL = 2.56 %, 2-3 percent is considered normal.

Appreciate your input systemlord

(T3)Triiodothyronine,Free serum is 3.8 pg/ml 2.0-4.4 mb

I also got a thyroid panel done about a month ago

TSH 1.33 (0.5-5)
FT4 1.02 (.7-1.8)
fT3 3.3 (2.0-4.4)

Those tests a month ago are invalid, your new labs indicate a radical shift in TSH. You cannot add an old result to the current labs.

Your pituitary gland increases TSH whenever it senses thyroid hormones are lacking, you have two radically different TSH scores only a month apart. I've seen this before in other guys with thyroid issues, their TSH scores change drastically from one week to the next.

TSH should not be changing much from day to day, it should remain relatively the same. You may not know it right now but this is the reason you're here.

Your testosterone levels are not terrible slightly below average for your age group, but I believe the cause of your problems is your thyroid.

You could possibly improve your testosterone production if you can get this thyroid under control.

Any advice on where to go from here?

You need a doctor that truly understands thyroid disorders, they are few and far between. Most insurance doctors play by these ridiculous outdated ranges that are too wide, it saves a ton on healthcare costs though. Defy Medical is the first that comes to mind, no travel necessary.
