Scarring

Is there any major issues long term with scarring from iM injections? I know there will be scarring, but was curious if it ever starts to cause issues. I usually use a 29g insulin needle, tried the 30g just takes way to long to draw.

I use an easy touch 27 gauge 1/2" syringe and inject in my shoulders ( shallow IM ). I've never been concerned about scarring, but I do workout regularly.

I inject on a daily basis. I move it about, subQ and shallow IM. I workout, lift and swim, and consider any scarring that develops simply the cost of feeling better.

Zooka - I've had the same concern. Seems most guys report little to no issues with scarring, but I think the truth is, there are very few men out there who have been consistently injecting for, say 25 years to really know if there's going to be long-term scarring. Using the smaller guage needle, changing injection spots, and massaging the injection site are all good steps to limit scarring.

Ive been injecting with a 29ga 1/2" for 4 years now. No noticeable scarring.

I've been hitting the same area in my upper right glut for years and I have no idea what scaring is...I think it's over rated to be honest.

Its a small price to pay for the rewards of TRT, but others with many years of experience don't seem to notice any scarring. However, I do notice the ones that do notice scarring are dosing much larger doses than TRT dose.

Nutpuncher - Is that what you've heard? Guys who report scar tissue build-up believe it's more from the higher volume they inject then the length or thickness of their needle?

I would think it would be the opposite, but maybe both have something to do with it. Bottom line, it doesn't seem very common, at least for guys injecting under 10 years.

Yes, the common theme is larger volume of test along with variety of other anabolics. Also, these folks are not always using pharma grade test...so that is something to consider.

But who knows what the root cause is....we can only speculate.
