Saving fertility not priority at most cancer centers

Not only most cancer centers do not talk about obtaining sperm or egg samples prior to chemotherapy/radiation but they also allow their patients to lose a lot of weight. Testosterone replacement can help men undergoing cancer treatment of non-androgen dependent cancers to keep lean body mass and quality of life up while undergoing toxic regimens. I know it since I had cancer last year and I did not lose weight or had as many issues as most people undergoing chemotherapy.

This reports says:

"Most of these centers around the country do not have policies or procedures in place to consistently identify which patients may be at risk for fertility loss, inform patients of this risk in a timely manner or refer them to fertility specialists, the study found. At the time of the study, there were 39 comprehensive cancer centers that treated adults."
