YES, it may be because of a big increase in dopamine and other neurotransmitters post cold exposure

Took me few years until I tried this cold bath. I was very cold sensitive. Now when I'm going to the sauna I'm looking forward to this. Only the heat makes me relaxed but tired. The cold bath gives me an euphoric energized feeling.
