"These analyses were not prespecified and need confirmation in additional studies of other datasets. Our models were modestly predictive, with r-squared values ranging from 0.16 for HDL cholesterol to 0.27 for vBMD, indicating that there is substantial variation in the testosterone response that is not explained by changes in these 3 hormones."
