Quick question about disinfection

Hi, so quick question here. Before i inject i obviously disinfect the area around my leg with salicylic alcohol. But, after i finish injecting and pulling a needle out i also keep pressure on my wound with a swab which i also covered in salicylic alcohol. It that something i should do or it's that not necessary? Thanks.

I do that and it eliminates bruising that I would sometimes get from subq injections.

I don’t think it’s necessary for disinfecting your injection site afterwards.

I often use pressure and a vigorous rub with that swab but I don't see it as disinfecting though I do from time-to-time get some blood, but more about avoiding post injection soreness.
