Haven't seen a lot about 1ml vials. If a guy is injecting 60mg of 200 mg/ml, from a 1ml vials, after the 3rd draw, there's only 20mg left in that vial. So if he needs 60mg, is it ok to pull that 20, then shove the same draw needle in the next 1ml vial to get the other 40mg?
I do it without incident. I hate to be wasteful when it comes to T, so I'll upend my vial (hold it upside down) with the needle just barely in there to get every bit of it that I can out of the vial. Then draw the remaining amount from my next vial.
I use the same needle for both vials. I draw with the same 29ga 1/2" that i inject with. It might be a bit duller but not to bad. Incident free for me.
Use a insulin pin and you wont have to worry about using a second bottle. 1cc bottles of 200mg/ml have 240mg in them. you should be able to get 4 60mg draws from each bottle.
I've done that with my 2ml bottles. It's like "alcohol abuse"....you can't leave that last bit of beer in your cup! The only way I wouldn't personally do that is if the TCyp is from two different compounding pharmacies. I say that because I'm on my last 1ml of TCyp from a previous compounding pharmacy and about to start on my new TCyp bottle from Empower. I don't know if it's ok or not, but I think that's where I would probably leave that last bit of beer in my cup.
Also, I draw with a 1" 22g needle and then switch to a 1/2" 27g needle to pin so I don't have issues with dull needles.
