Test 10.6 [7.6-31.4]

SHBG 29.4 [16-55]

Free Androgen Index*36.05 [24-104]


I've been on testogel a little over two weeks at 40.5mg test per day:

Test - 520 (7.6-31)

Free 18.6 (0.3-1)

17-beta oestradiol 34.4 (0-191.99)

Shgb 52.2 (16-55)

Prolactin 229 (86-324)


Thoughts?

What's the reasoning of using gels instead of injections, I would think someone your age would definitely be using injections.

The reference ranges are in brackets. So my testosterone level is 520, against a reference range of 7.6-31

Gels are widely used in the UK prior to injections

I take it (presume) you are using the new Besins Testogel 16.2mg/g gel and daily prescribed dosage of 2 pump depressions which will give you 40.5 mg testosterone "application"?

Most in UK were on 2 sachets per day (100mg) which if using the plastic pump bottle is actually 5 depressions (even though max says 4 depressions).

2 weeks is early days and your doctor will raise this I expect to 4 pump depressions

same as when on sachets most started on one sachet, then 1.5, then 2.

Besins have just introduced this new bottle rather than the previous sachets.

Your LH and FSH will continue to drop

Your SHBG almost doubled, are you on thyroid meds? You may need to switch to injections, large doses to force SHBG down. See if you can't get Enanthate and inject twice weekly.

Gels makes it easier on the doctors, injections require skill.

Then the only thing is you removed inflammation which we all know can raise SHBG, if you were insulin resistant TRT can help with that as well.

your only on 2 squirts of Testogel per day= 40.5mg and remember only a fraction of that is absorbed, whats your doctor saying about these readings
or has someone converted !!!
520 ng/dl = 18 nmol/L which would be about right for 2 squirts per day
18.6 ng/dl = 0.7 nmol/L for your free

I suspect the 520 is ng/dl and the lower / upper limits in brackets are nmol/L

Those values vs ref range make no sense. You either have ranges wrong or you might have contaminated your skin where blood was drawn with the testosterone gel.

I've just spoken to the lab, the ranges and result are is nmol/l

However they believe the test was contaminated so have to do another
