Whats the members views on niggly headaches.
I have been treating these as an indication that my e-2 is on the rise. Wake up with a muzzy kinda headache.
I normally respond by taking a .25 or .5 dose of arimidex.
When you look at the signs to watch out for with e-2 some guys are prone to a muzzy/fuzzy head feeling.
It does shift it so I'm guessing it is a good call.

i am running low carbs and I know sometimes this can knock the serotonin levels which can also cause a similar feeling.
Just got my e-2 labs back and they came back at 23pg/ml ...which is about right i guess.
Because of my recent crash i had been running .5mg every other day to see if I could get myself back on top again....which I felt I had achieved.
So i backed down the arimidex...and the last dose of.5mg I had was on Monday and I wake up this morning with that muzzy head feeling again.
So maybe I need to dose a little closer..........I know we are all different and some guys clear the meds from their system quicker than others.

Any other guys get this ?

Cheers guys Davet

You live in the UK, don't you? Which means you have no access to the LC, MS/MS (sensitive) estradiol test. A complicating factor in managing your protocol. I would be wary about attributing a mild headache to elevated estradiol. You tested at 23pg/ml on the standard. Your levels may be actually much lower than that (the standard test over-estimates e2 in men). We just don't know. Downing .5mg of Anatrozole on a somewhat random basis could push your estradiol level too low, an easy thing to do.

What at are the other details of your protocol and how long have you been following it?

IMHO .5mg Anastrozole is far too much to take at one-time. Any other key symptoms for you with Estrogen...night sweats/body heat, acne, weight gain, can't lose weight, etc etc Absent other classic E symptoms I would suggest an Analgesic over Anastrozole. Coasty is correct, 23 is rather low and given that test overestimates E, and .5mg is just too much.

Hi Guys.

I started on T-Gel end of last sept had labs done at christmas and my T level had gone from 4.4 to 5.4 after 3 months...this was without a AI and the gel was (what I now know) was frosting.
I argued with my bafoon of a gp to up my dosage, which she agreed to.
1 sachet am and 1 pm.....after about 3 weeks in to this my nipples were getting sore. I then liaised with my then adviser( Monica Mollica) who advised me to try arimidex... so I sourced some and things improved all round.
Last labs my T was 24 my free T was 22 and my DHT 2.190 nmol/L with PSA ok and SHBG in check.
Last labs were done in April.
Felt good ...gym work going well.
Then my new doc kicked in this new regime which wrecked my therapy.
2 x 50mg of T cream a day with 5mg of added progesterone and 25mg of DHEA...after week 1 my joints were sore as hell and my sleep had been wrecked.
My BP had hit 145/85 and my hands were going numb through the day.
I was becoming very emotional and my self worth crashed big time along with my confidence.
So I binned the new protocol and returned to my old therapy.......
I thought the BP and hand numbing were due to water retention thanks to my new meds being converted to E2.
So thats why I bumped up my AI to bring things back to a comfortable place again...
Feel like I'm nearly there I just need to tweak things a little and back the arimidex down to .25mg maybe 3 times a week.
Had no acne ....did have bad night sweats but they are now good.
Was shaping up good until my crash.......stopped loosing midriff bodyfat...but I guess my cortisol would have been spiked as well.
Aim is to get my BF down enough so I wont need an Ai ...dont think I am that far away.

Good wood etc...back in love with the Mrs T again lol :)

I have a Harley street doc who is supposed to be one of the top docs in the UK relieving me of lots of £... who I don't think understands the complete picture ....she sent my E2 labs and had the standard ladies test ran on them.........what a joke........no surprise I didn't show anything.

Dont think I am that far out guys just got to keep tweaking........my life has improved immeasurably since I got my levels up.....

Cheers guys
