Nice review of the time-course of the effects of TRT

https://www.excelmale.com/forum/showthread.php?1519-How-long-does-testosterone-take-to-show-effects

This has been on the site, in the sticky posts, for some time. While it is of value, it has a glaring weakness. It's probably fair to say that the protocols that were in place when the studies on which this meta-analysis is based were run were appalling. Too much testosterone, given in too few injections, with estradiol measured on the standard rather than the sensitive lab assay. I'd be cautious about drawing too many conclusions, or comparing one's own progress with the statements in this piece.

You raise some valid concerns that I would agree with.
They make terribly certain, blanket statements about when effects are noted and when it's unreasonable to expect further improvement/change. Fair enough...based on faulty data. I wish it was possible to pinpoint with the specificity they deploy to measure progress. I hung onto this study for a few weeks when I was beginning therapy, and worried myself silly.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
