38 year old man. 200lbs ~15%bf w/ decent diet. Feeling tired all the time. Lots of sleep doesn't help. I started adding 5mg DHEA 2x/day and 10mg preg 1x/day with a slight benefit to energy levels.

I have been reading up on these forums as much as I can. Can anyone recommend what to do to get my Free T levels up? Am I a candidate for TRT or are my total T levels too high??? Thanks so much!

Your free t is very low due to your extremely high shbg even though you have a descent total.

Free t is what matters as it is the active fraction.

Definitely look into trt.....how is your thyroid?

I would definitely ask for a full thyroid panel. Low thyroid and low testerone symptoms are identical. At a minimum test TSH, T4, Free T4, Free T3, T3 and Reverse T3. Lots of great information in the Thyroid section of ExcelMale.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I am not on a low carb/keto diet but I could probably add more carbs to breakfast.
Can't remember the last time I had a thyroid panel. I will definitely get that in the future.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

Free Testosterone
