Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you Nelson for this outstanding forum. In a short time, I've learned a lot and have a lot more reading to do.
I'm 40 years old and have been suffering most of the symptoms in the ADAM test for many years.
Here are some recent blood test results.
I'm unsure why so many of my hormone levels are low, however, I suspect my use of Accutane for a 2 year period in the mid 1990's may have contributed.
I would really like to know of a way that I could boost my levels before making the decision to commit to TRT.

Total Testosterone: 9.2nmol/L (8.3-30.2)

Calculated free testosterone 212 pmol/L (225-725)

SHBG: 29 nmol/L (17-56)

Sensitive estradiol 49 pmol/L (50-150)

LH: 1.6 IU/L (1.8-9.2)

FSH: 2.8 IU/L (1.5-9.7)

Progesterone: 2.2 nmol/L (0.7-4.3)

IGF 1 29 nmol/L (13-36)

Vitamin D 67 nmol/L (50-250)

Cortisol 660 (170-550)

Yes, Accutane can affect men's hormonal axis in some.

Can an Acne Drug (Accutane) Cause Negative Hormone Effects?

Your TT is 262 ng/dL, which is low. How much do you weigh and what is your height? Waist size? Sleep habits? Medications? You may consider talking to your doctor about TRT.

Your estradiol is 13 pg/mL which makes sense since you have low T.

Thanks, Nelson.
I'm 5'10 and weigh 180lbs. If were to lose 10lbs I would be very lean. I already have reasonable definition in my abs.
I sleep 6-8 hours per night. Not taking any meds.
Do you think if I were in the US with these lab values most endocrinologists would want to put me on TRT?
Where I live, most endos would tell me that I'm "perfectly normal" as my TT is in the range, although bottom of range.

Accutainted, thanks for posting your results up. Don't take it wrong, but that cortisol test really won't give us any true reflection on the BIG picture with your adrenals. A 1x serum test can have a lot of interpretations. Look into a 4x -24hour Saliva kit, with the DHEA correlation analysis, total cortisol burden, and circadian profile, which can help assess if you're in you're in one of the seven phases (maladaptation, fatigue, etc.)

Depending on the results, other areas like the thyroid will also be impacted by adrenal imbalances, so it's critical to address ALL the areas that might be a factor, or contributing to any potential cause. There's some good info from Dr. Joseph Debe (more on the nutritional side), and Dr. James Wilson. If you need help putting a circadian profile graph together, let me know, I have an Excel template that I built for that purpose. ZRT Labs will usually provide one, but just in case you don't have one, or if you want some input, just drop me a line ...
