Hi again everyone, Sorry for the long delay but I have had no news to report until now. The dr I was seeing that wanted me to come in for monthly injections canceled again on me. He is 82 and refuses to retire and constantly cancels his appts due to his age.

I was fortunate enough to find a dr through UBMD (I am in the Buffalo NY area if anyone has suggestions) and was seen this week. She reviewed my blood work and immediately put me on Test Cypianate. Both labs done three months ago and this month put me at a test level of 138. All other numbers were fine for my pituitary, LH, FSH, Prolactin and a few others. Her first thought was 200mg every two weeks for 10 weeks and then redraw blood work. She then decided that may be too much to start and has me at 200mg every three weeks for the first ten weeks to see where my levels are. Then we will look at going to 200 every other week. I do like the idea of having it once a week for maintaining levels but I do believe it will take time for that through this dr.

That is a ridiculous protocol - you'll feel miserable in a week or two. She doesn't understand the fundamental half-life of testosterone, demonstrated clinically and in the peer-reviewed journals academic medicine insists on. At the end of seven days you have eliminated the testosterone you injected. Not an opinion, a fact. You're headed for hormone hell. Simple as that. Please find another doctor...you deserve better care.

Then she clearly has no idea what's she's doing and you'd be best served by finding another doc following protocols you'll see discussed here (weekly dose is minimum for steady levels) and you're going to be on a T roller coaster with that dose (low) and that schedule. 100mg per week of that T ester is a common starting dose and schedule then adjusted as labs and symptomogy dictates. If you find her open minded, you may be able bring her up to speed by supplying studies and articles, but that's rare. Worth discussing at least.

When I was first put on TRT I was on the very same protocol, 200mg every 3 weeks. The first 5 days was great but after that it was pure hell until my next shot, it was as if I had walked through a desert on foot for a week at 120 degrees! My friends at work would see me on those days I felt horrible and would ask me if I was sick, I looked and felt like I was dying. Your doctor has no experience whatsoever with administering TRT, if she did have experience she would know full well that protocol is going to fail you. Testosterone has an average half life of 8 days so 50% of the medicine is completely gone, this is why anyone will feel horrible. You will likely end up lower in TT than you were before starting TRT and your hormones will fluctuate wildly.
