Needle Gauge for Testosterone Cypionate in Cottonseed Oil (Watson)

Hey Guys,

To those of you who've had success using a smaller-than-normal needle to inject Testosterone, do any of you use Cypionate in Cottonseed Oil? I've attempted this a few times with a 27g, 1/2 inch, but have encountered a lot of resistance.

I've been using the 23g my doctor prescribed for a while, but every time I seem to get that awful spasm feeling, like I've gone through a nerve or something.

Thanks

23G is like a harpoon IMO. I use a 27g x 5/8" for the most part. Just draw with a 20G +/-, then inject with the finer gauge needle. Aspirate, inject, it should be just fine!

never had cottonseed oil.

i use a 27g 1/2" to do mine SC. When Defy was using APS pharmacy their Cyp flowed nice and quick through that needle. My last order came from Tri-Coast pharmacy and even though both are grapeseed, the Tri-coast stuff is like pushing a softball through a garden hose.

I use Watson brand and have no issues with using 27 G. Make sure you inject the same amount of air into the vial as your testosterone dosage and tilt the bottle as you pull back slowly on the plunger. Give it time to fill itself up before you pull back on the plunger a little more. If you pull back hard you will tend to create pockets of air within the oil. It won't hurt you, but any extra air does take up extra space in the syringe where there could be oil.

I think that's what I've been doing wrong. I've developed a habit for impatience on HCG monotherapy for so long. Water based stuff is so much easier to deal with. Thank you for sharing your experience! So glad to confirm I'll do OK with a smaller needle size. I was really dreading stabbing myself with those things for the rest of my life.

I know what you mean, bluezebra. When I first started out, I was using 23G 1 1/2 in. It is so much better using 27G 1/2 in. subcutaneously now.

How long have you been doing subcutaneous injections with cottonseed oil? That's something I've been wanting to try but I've heard a lot of guys get site reactions. How are your testosterone and estrogen levels?

I use Watson with a 28g 1/2 inch needle. Interesting info on drawing the oil slowly. I inject air into the vial first. Then I draw way back and let it fill past my dosage. Push the excess back into the vial. Then I take the needle out and draw a pocket of air into the syringe and flick the syringe lightly. This releases all the bubbles into the pocket at the top. Then I just push that air out slowly till I see a tiny drip of oil. Then inject. Works for me.

They sure are. Originally they dispensed me 21's, to which I said hellllll no.

I just wanted to be sure that the resistance and/or extra bubbling weren't indicators of damage to the suspension or something. Thank you!
