needle for newbie...

Hello everyone. Nothing really new here....but appreciate the feedback

I received my needles yesterday for test cyp subQ injection, and they seem huge! 26g 5/8"
Now I am a lean guy (hoping to gain weight) and it seems as that size would hit muscle every time and be painful. Going to be injecting in abdominal area. Thoughts?

Any suggestion on switching to 27g 1/2" (seems to be what a lot of guys on here use) or has anyone had success with a 3/8" needle? (have looked at allegro per the suggestions on here...anywhere else to look?)

Much appreciated guys
(A lot of this post comes backed with a good bit of anxiety around self injecting as i have never done before..will just throw that out there :)

You'll need time and some use of different gauges and lengths but most everyone settles on 29g 1/2" for subQ or "shallow" IM.

^^^^^^This.

I don't inject Test into my abdomen area, as I like to save that area for HCG and Sermorelin. I do inject Test every 3.5 days into my quads using a 1/2", 29ga insulin pin, and don't feel a thing.

Be patient with the small gauge needles, as they take a while to draw and inject. That's right...inject slowly, and apply immediate pressure and massage with your fingertips post injection .

IMHO, using a 5/8"/26ga rig to inject SubQ into your abdomen is insane. Way too big and long.
