A prescription agent like allopurinol may be the best solution, at least until we gain a better understanding of how to control this process naturally. Repeated bouts with uric acid stones can impair kidney function and you do not want to allow this to happen.
Some would even argue that the powerful antioxidant properties of allopurinol are beneficial above and beyond that of uric acid reduction.
