Thank you for sharing this. It's not just about how we live as men, but how we al live...and die. The choices we make or don't make. The calculated/informed risks we're willing to take to have a better quality of life, even it shortens that life. As Joseph Campbell said, “Participate joyfully in the sorrows of the world. We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy".

OMG Yes! That the world should universally be a happy place, like Disneyland, is a total fantasy. This is not the world we live in. The starting place for correct decisions is to identify the truth of what is. The truth is the amount of tragedy we all must live through varies in style and amount, BUT we all live through it. The triumph of the human spirit is to find real joy in transcending our humanity. "Make believe" IS NOT overcoming. It is mental illness. Facing reality and overcoming it is humanity at its best.
