Hi everyone, should these numbers concern me? In shape , train regularly,
Test only trt . (stay well below upper range 750ish)
LDL and total has been above range for years but this is as high as its ever been. I could definitely clean up my eating as well as take some supplements to help. Researching high cholesterol has left me more confused on the subject.
Gonna do a coronary calcium scan soon .

IMO, no., you should not be concerned except to try to get trigs down a little bit. But you should always look for ways to increase your heart health. As far as cholesterol goes, other things are far more important, such as avoiding blood sugar spikes and keeping fasting insulin down. I strongly recommend the book "The Clot Thickens" by Dr. Malcom Kendrick.

Remember, any blood test is just a snapshot of what’s going on RIGHT THEN….yes, your HDL / TG Ratio could be better, but the rest looks pretty good to me (provided your other metabolic health markers are good).

A. Since you didn't get your particles checked, I would just go with the old rule 60 HDL 60 LDL and 60 triglycerides

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
