My Experience with Testopel and Ideal State

I forgot to mention when I was iron deficient, when my hormones would peak, so too would the symptoms. I eventually started going into convulsions and racing heart rates.

I wasn’t even anemic, I had low normal hemoglobin. Blood tests confirmed I had iron deficiency without anemia.

Recently, I started getting symptoms again 1.5-2 hours after my Jatenzo (peaks in 2 hrs) in the evening, took half a capsule of iron and symptoms disappeared quickly.

I have the opposite problem. I actually have to donate blood because my Iron is too high. The problem is so is my blood pressure. So I am in a catch 22. On 2 occasions American Red Cross turned me away because my BP.

@john.davidson25 did you end up switching or sticking to Testopel? I’m considering Testopel.

How many 75mg Testopel pellets were you getting at each insertion? Did it hurt? Was the recovery tough?

Hi sorry for the late response. I am the Testopel expert I guess, I've been getting it at least 8 years.

I get the procedure done once every 3 months. I get about 10 pellets. Since it's a minor medical procedure there is pain during the injection of anesthesia, not so much you insertion of pellets since you are numb.

The Best thing about pellets: If you hate needles, you do it once and good to go for about 3 months (although I start feeling like crap by beginning of month 3)

The worst: It's a doctor's appointment, minor surgery, a little pain, testopel pellets will extrude (happened to me about 3 times in 8 years which requires re-visit, it will leave a scar, and in some cases I have residual hardness in my butt from previous testopel that either didn't completely dissolve or the body has created a fat tissue around it so that on some spots when I press my finger I can feel lumps.

Hope I didn't scare you: I would do incections but I feel terrible even on the weekly TRT injection protocol and I just can't deal with feeling like that every week. Testopel allows me to at least feel normal for 2 months. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thank you so much @john.davidson25 !!

When you had extrusions, did that happen only during the first 10 days or afterwards? The urologist told me I would wear some kind of post-op sticky pad for 10 days and couldn’t do things like squats or swimming during that time.

And wow, 10 pellets?! That’s Testopel brand right, not compounded? This urologist wants me to start with just two!!

Your doctor clearly has no clue what he is doing!

Do you have normal testicular function? I have hypogonadotropic hypogonadism so I never produced Testosterone. That may explain the numbers. Not aware of sticky pad or no swimming, etc. Usually if they come out it's in the early stages when the incision is healing.

Extrusion usually stems from the angle and place where the pellets are implanted. Sometimes it's nothing more than bad luck, but it is a pain in the A$$ when it happens (pun intended).

I see a lot of folks here don't like testopel. It's hard to find the the right protocol, I am 50 and still struggling.

Regarding Doctors, good luck bro: I've had conversations with so calle "Doctors" who didn't know more than me about this condition and T replacement therapy. It's awful but some good Doctors can be found on this site.

Thank God for this forum and it's creators!! This forum is better than most doctors. :)
