Hello Gents,

I'm new to the site, and also new to TRT. I have several injuries stemming from combat tours and having transitioned to a civilian lifestyle, I want to continue to become the best "me" possible. My hope from joining the site is to gain insight into how to successful navigate TRT, and any other options, to help me continue a successful journey through life. I recently started TRT, which I hope will address many of my issues, but to take things further, I'm a firm believer in precision medicine and optimization. Seeing the site title alone, ExcelMale, I'm hopeful that I've found a community of like-minded individuals. So, please bear with my ignorance in some areas, with regards to both content and user rules.

Cheers!

Defy Medical TRT clinic doctor
Welcome!

The best advice would be to seek out a true TRT expert provider rather than your GP, Endo, or the doctor that you may be trying to 'drag along' into learning about TRT. Most of the guys having issues with TRT are also using the wrong doctors. Many of us here use Defy Medical and are very happy with their tele-medicine model. I am not affiliated with them, but use them and definitely recommend.

Ero,

Thank you for the input. I'm using a TRT clinic, with a renowned physician; however, regardless of his/her reputation, I prefer to be diligent in my research. From my perspective - one of little experience - his protocol seems to be valid, but I just need to see the experience of everyone else regarding the areas with which I'm not familiar, like peptides and other anabolic compounds.

From your experience with Defy, how reasonable are the costs? Right now I'm taking Test Cyp, HCG, and Anastrozole. Ideally, I would include the Sermorelin, but it's rather pricey with my current provider. He also hasn't mentioned the possibility of adding other compounds, such as Deca, to alleviate some of my issues with knee and spinal surgeries.

Again, thanks for the response.

Rather than a flat monthly fee Defy charges only for what you need; Dr Consult, meds, blood work, etc...They are very easy to work with and you can give them a call to get more details on pricing. They offer Sermorelin as well, but no Deca unless you have a wasting disease. http://www.defymedical.com/ I am pretty sure its illegal to prescribe Deca unless one has a wasting disease these days where a few years back it was more available in anti-aging clinics.

Sermorelin takes 6 months to up to a year before you really see or feel any significant improvements as well. Not trying to talk you out of it, just letting you know. Several guys here have used it, as have I, and for me anyway, I was underwhelmed when I considered the cost/benefit ratio.

Many of us on the forum switched to Defy from our previous providers because they are TRT experts and at least in part (for some of us) because their costs are very reasonable.

How do you feel on TRT so far? How long have you been on and what is your current protocol?
