May have nicked a nerve in shoulder?

Decided to try out my first shoulder injection.

Was doing subq but kept getting lumps that would last 4-5 days.

Then went to my outer thighs which I like... but decided to try out the shoulder after watching videos here.

When I went in, shoulder muscle jumped a bit.... it was very shallow... only maybe a 1/4 of the 27g 1/2" needle.

Anyways, now after redoing the shot, an hour later, my shoulder does not hurt but the muscle is randomly twitching.

Anything to worry about?

Give it a rub vigorsly. How much fluid are you injecting...not the dose but how much fluid... .5ml? 1ml? I think that injecting larger amounts of fluid in smaller muscles or SQ causes the most post injection reactions for guys.

Shoulder or deltoid (upper arm)? Either way, it should be fine although a little uncomfortable when you hit a nerve. It should not cause any long term effects.

I don't know anything about hitting nerves, but can you damage a nerve permanently? What happens if you cut into two sections, how tough are nerves?

Unlike the spinal cord, I think most nerves can repair themselves.

If the shoulders don't work for you don't inject there. Lots of other places to try, as you know even injecting is different for everyone.
