40 Year old male. Suffering from close to zero libido, erectile dysfunction, and fatigue. I decided to get my blood tested for potential low t. My bloodwork seems to be in the fairly normal range but it doesn't match the way I feel. I can definitely use some extra eyes if anyone wants to help see things that I may be missing. I truly appreciate any thoughts anyone is willing to share. Thanks

Do you use any ED meds. They can help with increasing your testosterone. When you have sex regularly, it will also increase your testosterone and just make you feel better. It seems when it's easier to get hard, it help your libido.

Thanks Vince.
I have sex often with my girlfriend and always need to take ed meds. Even with the meds, it doesn't increase the drive. It just helps with the erections. I just don't feel like much of a man these days. This has actually been for a while now.

I hear ya - I'm on 20 years of almost no libido, ED. On TRT and everything tuned up. Trying .5 click of T cream, but worried abut hair loss as I'm already pretty thin. Depression? Sleep Apnea? Stress?

Would be good to get your Free T3, T4 and RT3 numbers.

I am very thin as well and hair loss has been the number one deterrent for me beginning TRT.
I did some clomid and peptide cycles under a doctor’s care. It effected my bloodwork but not my symptoms.
Currently, I’m 3 weeks into HCG which I’m trying (under a doctor’s care) to see if I get symptom relief. Based on my blood, he didn’t seem to think HCG would help much and wanted me to begin Testosterone Cypionate.
I’ve never injected test before. I didn’t want to start it because I didn’t want to risk going bald, even though I my hair at 40.
HCG doesn’t seem to be helping much but I do know it will help the boys for when I ever decide to take the test.
I have my children already do fertility isn’t an issue.
I also want to explore micro dosing the test if I can find a good protocol.
Either way, I feel pretty desperate at the moment and am looking to feel better.
I do have a history of depression and anxiety but am not on any of the meds that cause ED and Libido issues.
I just feel really weak.
Thinking about getting my cortisol levels checked next.

You don't need Test with a level of 600.

Do you exercise? I would try that. Yoga? Depression is a sneaky thing. Sleep Apnea can be the cause as well. I share your struggle.

Yes I work out often. Has no effect on the low t symptoms.
From what I know, you can’t look at just the total testosterone with regard to hormones. It needs a much more holistic approach that looks at the entire picture.
My total test may be 600 but I believe there is something missing.
Trust me, I would rather save the money and not need TRT but I know men suffer and it has changed their lives.
No erections and No libido.... that’s a sign of something.

I’m 49. Your numbers are similar to mine. I had similar symptoms also.

With a natural Total T of 600, I’d be hesitant to start TRT until you explore a few other options. You might be raise your levels a little bit especially if you are lacking certain vitamins/minerals.

For me my symptoms got better after I started a daily regimen of vitamin D, Magnesium, and Zinc. But the real game changer was daily Cialis. It made me feel better in general and kicked libido into overdrive.

The symptoms can be indicative of many things. But, a level of 600 is plenty - there is something else likely going on. I cant imagine a dr prescribing T to someone with that result.

Start with the basics. Try eliminating certain foods. Maybe you have mold or other toxins in the air. Maybe even Lyme disease. My goodness, the list of possibilities is almost endless when it comes to a "mystery illness". I oughta know, I have been in that category for about 10 years. Some days (or weeks) I feel frakkin' GREAT, and then back down into the dumper again.

Lately I have been focusing on bad root canals. Had one tooth pulled about six months ago. Having another old root canal tooth pulled next week. Lots of evidence that many root canals harbor bacteria in the dead tooth and a slow leakage of bacterial debris comes from the tooth, result in constant inflammation.

Good luck with your treatment. I hope you get lucky enough to receive an ACCURATE diagnosis with a curable condition. But don't be surprised or shocked when the medical system seems to just leave you hanging.

Have you ever thought that it might all be in your head? For instance, anxiety problems or depression? Being depressed (even unknowingly) might lead to chronic fatigue and other nasty effects.

Perhaps a visit to a psychologist or maybe even a psychiatrist would suffice. Or one of those sex consultants that might supposedly help to unlock your libido.

That's actually a very intriguing suggestion. I've been dealing with mold at my home for several years now and it can have all sorts of detrimental effects on one's wellbeing.

No one can say with certainty if that's the root cause of your woes, but do you have mold or any fungus-related issues at your house?

I live in a new condo building so I don’t think mold is the problem.
Regarding therapists and sex therapists, I’ve been to them many times over the years.
I would love to learn more about removing plastics and the cause of that.

I realize you're not the OP, but this info may help him. I had my air quality tested because I did discover mold in some areas, and I was feeling off-kilter. I used this company: Sampling Kits - Home Air Check

Here's Page 3 of an 8-page report they compiled for me:
mold2.jpg

The tests & report covered VOC's and mold. If anyone wants to look at the whole 8-page report, I have made it available on my server space. It's a PDF file, located here: http://csgbenefits.org/moldtest.pdf

I really like the job they did. Seemed very thorough. Unfortunately, I am still feeling up and down, apparently not due to mold issues. I have been going through this for a decade, my doc likely thinks I'm a hypochondriac, LOL, especially as my blood tests keep coming back with great numbers.

OP, best of luck with your search for great health!!!!

mold thing is interesting, your SHBG seems high as well as DHT? They can cause some symptoms as well

TSH i hear is good to be around 1.5 or 1?
