Low e2

Hi, I have a question regarding e2 levels. My total testosterone is 636 ng/dl and free 22.3 ng/dl. These levels are natural and I do not do TRT. Had been pretty moody and no morning wood for several months so I ordered Labcord sensitive e2 from discountedlabs.com.in early Sep. My level was 8.4 so from a friends suggestion I started taking 50mg Jarrow DHEA but didn't really feel much was changing in regards to mood, little morning wood, slightly lowered libido. So I had another sensitive e2 done last week and now level is even lower at 7.7. Any tips on increasing e2? Maybe 100 mg DHEA, soy, etc? Any suggestions would be great!

Other than what you referenced in your post, are you taking any other medications? How old are you? What prompted you to measure your testosterone when you did? Was it in response to the symptoms you mentioned (moody, lack of morning erections)?

I'm 47 take daily Cialis 5mg, HIV meds, Vascepa prescription fish oil, Lisinopril. I'm 5'11 167 lbs . Monitor t levels because I was on Androgel but had high hematocrit and didn't like phlebotomy
to make it go down. So to my surprise 2 years later post TRT I produce my own pretty well.

Post the full lab results. This way we can see exactly what they say and their ranges.

You ordered the sensitive E2 without anything else? It's entirely possible that between when you measured test and free, that they dropped when you measured your E2, so since they were done at different times, it's impossible to know.

How far apart were all of these results?

I imagine you have a lot of symptoms, low E2 is one horrible feeling. Are you urinating a lot, thirsty a lot, and maybe have hot flashes?

Post what symptoms you have from there under low estradiol symptoms.

Testosterone results from late Aug. E2 done early Sep and 11/22. Its more that I have mood swings, little to no morning wood, sometimes increased urination. Regular erections good and yesterday I blew a load three times so that's not an issue lol.

If that Jarrow is a micronized formula it won't convert to E as easily as a cheapt OTC tablet which should be broken down on first pass thru on the Liver. The micro-nized is supposed to remain intact thru the Liver. Some cheap tablet from Walmart or wherever would usually be the kind to try and raise E2.

Thats a pretty low e2 in a natural state. Im assuming you are quite lean?

DHEA is a possible option to raise e2. Another would be transdermal pregnenolone.

I also saw a post by mariano where he spoke about the estrogenic effects of inositol (b8).

I find it less likely it was just those 2 days when you had E2 tested that it was randomly low, but it is still possible, seeing as you didn't have testosterone tested simultaneously with E2.

If sexual function is good, which it seems, and the only other symptoms are mood swings, I wouldn't worry too much.

I'd get test, free, and sensitive E2 tested to check again. Discounted labs has $29 test and free, and $48 sensitive E2. So $80 total to know.

DHEA did nothing for my E2 level and yes I am very lean. Next thing I'm starting to do is ground flaxseed.

Have you considered getting testosterone, estradiol, and dhea-s tested simultaneously before adding more hormones?
