Loss of sensitivity

Hi, I've been reading quite a few posts on here on sensitivity, doesn't seem to be something many people have had a resoution on, but I'd be interested to know if anybody can help....

Since start of Jan (5 months ago) I've had a big loss in penis sensitivity I'm 44 so initially was just wondering if it's an ageing thing, but looking back I think that's unlikely since it happened fairly suddenly. My dick feels like at best its a 5/10 in sensitivity, but fluctuates requently to about a 1/10. There is a fully numb patch on one side which never goes away, the rest sems to vary with no real pattern that I can tell.

Thankfully I can still get a good erection, orgasm, ejaculate, have sex, morning wood, masturbate to porn etc, but trying to get hard from sensation only is nearly impossible. Sex and blowjobs feels like I'm waring a half-inch thick prosthetic over my dick. Cialis and Viagra both work well, so I can still have sex, but it just doesn't feel all that good. I have no "electricity" feeling like I used to, no "tingling" of any kind.

The only thing I can think of that happened was in Jan I tried taking testogel twice - I did 3 pumps (60mg) then left it a week and did the same again a week later. During this time and for about 2 weeks after I couldn't get an erection at all, no matter how much I tired, used porn etc etc. In the end my erections returned but then this numbness started.

I really can't believe that using the gel twice would have had such an effect on me, so I still wonder if there's something else behind it and that the gel was just a coincidence.

5 months later it doesn't seem to have improved at all, really not sure what to do now. Really interested to hear if anybody has had anything similar, or what options I might have

I am a similar age, 43, fit, healthy, not on TRT or any medication, no drugs, no smoking, no alcohol, and started noticing decreased sensitivity about age 41, so maybe it is just an aging thing? I have solid T levels, but might have low Free T and have higher range SHBG. While supplements don't fix/heal the problem, 15mg of Yohimbine about 30-60 minutes before sex increases sensitivity for me. 750mg of Maca helps as well.

I would also be interested in hearing people's feedback on restoring natural sensitivity as well. Like what are the mechanisms responsible for sensitivity, why does it diminish, and how to restore it?

I wonder if it has anything to do with DHT? When you use the gel It increased your DHT and now that you stopped using the gel, your DHT went back to normal. I wonder if that had some effect on your sensitivity?
