Loooong term question

For those people who have accepted that they will be injecting testosterone and HCG for the rest of their life - 20, 30, 40 years... What are your concerns, and do we have data about the long term effects?

I have no doubt that having a high normal level of testosterone throughout life is probably a good thing. But can it really be good to permanently turn off your LH/FSH production? Sure, HCG might mimic LH in some ways, but it's *not* LH. What are the ramifications there? What else might "real" LH do that HCG does not do? What are we missing by not having FSH? And can it really be a good thing to stop your pituitary gland from doing some important things that it normally does? If we allow our testicles to shut down they basically shrink and die after enough time goes by... Maybe the pituitary gland suffers in a similar way?

Opinions are great but I'd love to hear some proven science if it exists.

I don't have scientific studies, but I ask you, what's the alternative? I was 54 and miserable. Now I'm 56 and loving life. What are the long term ramifications of statins? HTN meds? Insulin? Most things are give and take. As far as the pituitary goes, it serves many functions and is not shriveling up. If it did you would be dead.
