Is it normal to for total testosterone to be lower than free testosterone

Your question makes no sense as you have phrased it. Free testosterone is that portion of your total testosterone not bound by SHBG, or weakly bound to albumin. Do you have lab values you can post?

Your lab report should provide ranges for each lab run as well as the units of measure for each reported value. You can't compare tests that aren't reported in the same unit. If you look again at the report, you should find both. Post it, and we can sort it out.
