I just moved from Ohio to Las Vegas NV. I had a good DR in Ohio who understood TRT and now i’m Back at square 1. I just visited my PCP for the first time and he has no knowledge of anyone that would prescribe HCG. He is sending me to an endocrinologist that might be familiar but its several months before I can get in. I don’t want to run around to multiple places so if anyone on here lives in or near Las Vegas please let me know of a knowledgeable Dr.

Thanks

I know a couple people who go to Dr John Pierce with Ageless Forever and really like him. I don't know if he prescribes HCG or anything about his protocol. He focuses on the entire picture including vitamins/mineral levels / blood work as part of TRT to get you feeling better (wellness/preventative). I have not met him or been to his office. There a many TRT mills that I would be leary of using but I have no personal knowledge.

Lots of providers in Vegas. Do a google search, you're bound to find something.

Thanks for the response but that is not true. I have now been here for over 8 months and nothing. There are several clinics around town but I called a few and they are bullshit and only want lots of money. My primary care physician says he doesn’t know of anyone legit in the city and he has been there for 20 years. He referred me to an endocrinologist and this guy knows nothing about TRT after seeing him twice. Defy looks like it is my only option left.

No unfortunately not. I still see an endocrinologist in Henderson but he knows little. At least he still prescribes me T and labs. With my insurance I pay barely anything.

Getting your TRT paid for by insurance may sound like a good deal, but you likely will not have access to doctors who have any experience with TRT, so most of the time endo's are only good for writing T scripts and labs, but have little experience.

You want to work with a doctor that is experience and is good at TRT, you will likely have to go private and pay out of pocket.

I go to a urologist. He understands TRT very well. Maybe that’s something you can try.

Agreed. Initially I went to my personal family doctors and all of them didn’t really want / seem to explore the topic more with me. So I just did my research and found a solid clinic and doc. Yes, out of pocket but worth it. Don’t get your health plans involved, too much redtape and likely won’t service all the needs you want.

In my experience over the past 5 years that is not true at all. I have lived in 3 different states in the past 5 years and have been to at least 5 supposed clinics who are "mens health" experts in TRT. Only 1 of them had a clue what they were doing and all of them charged me ridiculous amounts of money and had good reviews. Far and away the best experience I had was in Ohio with a real doctor that was a fertility and TRT specialist.
I already went to 1 clinic in Vegas and they wanted $500 just for a consult and discuss my options. Again glowing reviews from the online community. I think each state and situation is different for everyone, however I am not willing to spend $500+ a month to go to a clinic again.
Mr S I do see an endocrinologist here in Vegas. I shouldn't have said he knows nothing about TRT. He just isn't very progressive and believes that I shouldn't be on it because I am too young (38).
All in all in my experience I get better info from this website from people with actual experiences and results than I have received from any Dr or specialist. Cost is not the only issue but some of the clinics out there will charge an arm and a leg. Currently I pay $65 for a 10ml vial of T that I give injections to myself. I get labs done quarterly and my insurance covers 100% of it. And I get a 12,000IU bottle of HcG from Empower Pharm for $75. Basically I pay around $50/mo for everything and after I get my labs I discuss with my doctor, friends, and online.

I hear you. I meant a urologist instead of an endo because my experience has been very positive with a urologist who works in a clinic with a female and a male doctor. They treat infertility which makes them very knowledgeable. My insurance covers everything as well. I definitely wouldn’t want to pay for labs. I live in Massachusetts, you’re correct. Every state has its “things” medicine wise. Massachusetts has a lot of teaching hospitals which helps a lot.
