Is DHT the Cause of BPH ( Prostate Enlargement ) or is it Estradiol?

I keep reading posts that say DHT isn't the cause of BPH, estrogen is the cause.

if thats the case then why do drugs like finasteride which lower dht actually shrink the prostate?

if it was estrogen then taking finasteride would never shrink the prostate. Anyone have info?
