intramuscular vs. subcutaneous

Hi, I’ve been on TRT for three years now. Until six months ago, I was administering two intramuscular testosterone injections per week, totaling 120 mg. My hematocrit never exceeded 52. For convenience, I switched to subcutaneous injections six months ago; I inject 15 mg every other day. However, I’ve noticed enlarged veins in my arms and legs. For the past three months, my hematocrit has consistently been at 54, and I’ve had to undergo phlebotomy. Given that my weekly testosterone dosage is significantly lower than it was with intramuscular injections, what am I doing wrong? Can you help me? Thanks in advance

When you say “consistently”… how many times have you tested hematocrit in the past three months?

Also, it’s not really a matter do doing anything wrong… but if your reason for switching was simple convenience then I’d say the easiest thing would be to just go back to what worked.

Hi. I’ve had blood tests done three times, and my hematocrit has consistently been high. I assume the best solution is to go back to intramuscular injections, but from what I’ve read on the forum, subcutaneous injections are actually supposed to improve hematocrit levels. That’s why I was wondering if I might be doing something wrong.
