Injection site and scar tissue

I have read that repeated use of the same injection site can cause scar tissue. I am only comfortable injecting into the side of my thighs and alternate between sides. However with a twice/week injection protocol Im injecting the same site once per week.
My question is....is scar tissue inevitable? How would I know its there as I have never felt anything in my thighs that would make me believe I am building up scar tissue. I have been on TRT for over 3 years.
Thanks!

I do the same spots and for a year now I'm perfectly fine. I think (assuming for you) that the 29g 1/2" needles mitigate any scar tissue, issue.

Thanks for the reply Vince!
I have not actually progressed to the newer method of using the smaller/shorter needles but am currently considering trying out the SubQ method. At the moment I am using 27G x 1".
Do you know how scar tissue in the thigh would manifest?
Maybe I have some and don't realize it?

I can't answer the scar tissue question I can say I don't have any lumps bumps or other abnormalities at my injection sites, clean as a whistle.

Thanks. I can find no indications of scar tissue either but was concerned that it may be present without being obvious.

Ardoc - that's a concern for some guys. If you're a younger guy, let's say 43 years old and plan to live another 40 years. We'll that's another 4,000 holes poked in your muscles over the next 40 years. You can mitigate it by going with a 31 GA 5/16" or a 29 GA 1/2" needle, but you gotta think maybe in what year 15 of 40 you'll start feeling some scar tissue buildup. You don't hear many guys complaining about scar tissue. Most guys seem like they've been on TRT for only a few years. The few who we know have been on forever don't seem to voice any concerns. There's risk in everything, and many consider scar tissue a small risk for the benefits of properly administered TRT.

I have been taking testosterone injections for the last 19 yrs & believe me the scar tissue is unbearable I am now going through alot of uncomfortable pain & would recommend the pellet implants, I was just getting ready to get the pellet implant but due to getting laid off I lost my insurance.

Pellets are an outdated and horrible choice for TRT. You think you're in pain now? Just wait till they implant a half dozen of those pellets in your glute. You're going to love it.

Have you been moving your injection sites around at all? If not, why not? The quad is a huge muscle, and there is a lot of area on both quads. I inject Test in my quads only, and I move all over my quads, so I don't inject in the same place every time. I also use a 1/2"/29ga insulin pin, so the needle is tiny, and barely leaves any mark.

I wondered when somebody was going to come forward who's been injecting for 20 years and have a comment on scar tissue, you're the first one. For most of those 19 years, what size needle did you use and how often were you injecting?

Folks with Type 1 diabetes inject insulin several times daily for life. A friend of mine is Type 1 and age 58 - no scaring issues.

I've heard some complain about it, most don't. The diabetes forums will have threads discussing scar tissue. Maybe they have a few tips for us TRT guys.

Nelson been injecting for 20 years, says not worry about scar tissue. I think if you exercise and use your muscles, scar tissue will never be an issue.

That's Stone Age, forget the pellets "inject". But it is a good way for doctors to make a lot of money.

Cutting-edge TRT docs refuse to even use pellets as they are about 2 decades out of date and rife with shortcomings. That and you want to talk about scar tissue? - go to YouTube and watch pellets being implanted. Think getting shot in the ass with an arrow...
