Hypothetical question about dose and insulin needle

Let`s say my Dr. prescribed weekly dose is 150 a week with a twice a week injection, so 75 every 3.5 days.

Would i use a 50 or a 100 insulin needle???

Where on the syringe should my measurement be so that it is correct???

10 ml vial 200mg/ml test.

I just want to make sure i`m getting the correct syringes and getting my dose correct.

Waiting on bloodwork to be returned, that`s why this is all hypothetical......

I understand your issue, insulin syringes most go to .5 ml, you would need a syringe that would allow you to measure 1.0 ml. Without knowing if you'll ever increase your dose 1.0 ml sounds like a safe bet. A BD Luer Lok 25 gauge 5/8 would be perfect.

I'm on 50mg every 3.5 days. I draw a standard 100 unit insulin syringe to 25 units or .25ml. In your case you would draw the same syringe to 37.5 units or .375ml. See the relationship?
1ML = 200mg, 100 units = 1ML, .375ml x 200mg = 75mg
.375ml (37.5 units) twice a week is 150mg

eezy peezy. Hope this helps.

Since you're dealing with milliliters mL using a 1mL syringe is the easiest way to draw your dose as the math is easier and there's no reason at ll to stick yourself with a 25g needle.
