I have adrenal fatigue. I have panic attacks at night.

My doctor told to me I have panic attack at night because my cortisol is low at night.

I think he is right because cortisol = water retention. and I noticed I lose water when i had panic attack.

btw, I have always water retention and my body fat is 12%.

Low cortisol can most definitely mean that there is also thyroid problems. Have you had a complete thyroid panel.

Did you have labs ran? Or a 4 sample salivary test?

Did you ask your doctor how he or she wants to fix your low cortisol? I find it odd they just said that but never mentioned how they're gonna treat it.

IMHO this ties back to this busted circadian rhythm you have with the 0400-Noon sleep cycle and staying indoors all the time. I think you've got more going on here than EM can possibly address. To that end though Hydrocortisone is the usual therapy in low Cortisol.

But that's the thing, your cortisol should be at its lowest point in the PM. You need a 24 hour Saliva Test with DHEA correlation. The AM is where we need to start, as that will set the pace for the rest of the day. If there's a slump in DHEA due to access pregnenolone being pulled for more cortisol, then that will be evident with the circadian profile and results.

My TT : 350 ng dl
E2 : 35 pg ml

I will get other tests soon. I have adrenal fatigue thats why my T is low. Normally it's 450 ng dl.

My cortisol is 17 ug dl. ( 6 - 19 ug dl ) blood was given at 9:30 AM.

I am waiting for DHEA-SO4.

The blood serum "AM Only" is inadequate for getting any real true assessment on the adrenals. Saliva is the Gold Standard, and it needs to be measured on a 24 hour circadian profile. The DHEA saliva correlation NEEDS to be pulled in conjunction with the 24 hour kit and measured accordingly.

However, sticking to the AM Only serum lab you presented, the morning reserves are right at the top of the reference range, right where they should be.

Is this based on a physician's diagnosis? Did they support it with providing LH lab results with an explanation of where they see the adrenals have impacted your HPTA?

hey Rocc I believe the same is happening to me, I had panic attacks before but now on TRT it probably feels different, anyways my cortisol drops dead about noon, what happen is as I encounter stress weather physical or mental I go into shock like I'm freezing, I become super weak and not able to think, loosing lots of cognitive function, cortisol when need it raise blood pressure/sugar to help you, also low cortisol inhibits the conversion to norepinephrine to epinephrine(adrenaline) leading to an imbalance that is associated with panic attacks, this is the research that I have done! and I really hope that is what it is,
