I'm wondering how Dr's monitor growth hormone therapy specifically for adults that have normal igf1 levels but are growth hormone deficient?

My pituitary was fried from brain cancer treatment, brain surgery with a resection, and 31 radiation treatments and 6 chemotherapy treatments, A neuro endocrinologist I saw at Stanford told me alot of adults with growth hormone defienciey have normal igf1 levels but still have a growth hormone defienciey, so I had a growth hormone stimulation test and not surprisingly my growth hormone levels were basically non existent but my igf1 always test in the high normal range. So basically I'm starting growth hormone therapy and wondering how my treatment will be monitored since my igf1 level was normal to start with on the blood test?
