how are these FT4 numbers?

How (bad?) are these thyroid numbers?

FT4 9.9 (ref range 9.0 - 20.0)
TSH 1.24 (ref range: 0.45 - 4.50)

I believe the units are pmol/L for FT4 and mIU/L for TSH.
On previous tests I've had TSH values to be higher (closer to mid-range) but my FT4 has consistently been hovering just above the range minimum (always below 10.0).

Since I do have secondary hypogonadism (very low LH and consequently low T levels - unless I use clomid), I'm wondering if any thyroid issues I might have could be linked to pituatary as well (if it makes any difference).

At the moment, with enclomiphene (50 mg every 4 days) my total T is mid-range (in the 600s), perhaps not ideal but good enough given the low cost and convenience of popping a single capsule twice a week. (TRT isn't an option given my current location/financial capability). So I'm looking into what other improvements might be made.

I'll be seeing an endo (through the public healthcare system) regarding my cholesterol and I'm wondering if it might be worth trying to "encourage" him to look more closely into thyroid issues too.

More importantly, how is your FT3? Your FT4 is bottom of range. It should typically be midrange. Most endos will Rx synthroid to raise your FT4. But you should have all Thyroid labs done
