Hello, ya'll. My recent blood test showed a prolactin level of 21.3. My TRT doctor wants to keep an eye on it and recheck in a couple of weeks, and if still elevated send me for an MRI to check for a tumor (great!). What should I do at this point? Wait? Take a supplement like vitex? Or go get an MRI?

Current protocol
250mg test cyp once a week
500u of hcg every 3.5 days
.5 arimidex every other day

Thanks guys.

Yes, I refrained from sex and all. Not sure about previous prolactin levels. This is a new trt doc for me. The previous ones didn't ever pull labs for prolactin.

Do you have labs to post?

What is your SHBG, TT, FT and e2 on 250 mg/week?

Do you have high SHBG as 250 mg/week for trt is a rather large dose?

Most do well on 100-150 mg/week for trt unless one had high SHBG which would usually require higher doses in order to achieve a healthy FT.

Regarding your prolactin how high are we talking and what is the reference range?

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
