High HCT but normal hemoglobin and RBC count

I have been on trt for approximately 10 weeks. Just got my blood results back and my hemoglobin was 16.4 (range13.2-18) and red blood cells were 5.19 (range 4.2-6) all in the normal range. My haematocrit was at 55.5 ( range 38.5-54). Just curious on the correlation between hemoglobin and the haematocrit. My pre trt haematocrit was 47.8. Seems like a rather huge jump and just 10 weeks... Any thoughts....I was possibly thinking dehydration
Thanks

Dehydration can be reflected in HCT. Though HCT and HGB are two different things. Would dehydration account for multiple points of HCT...doubt it.

In theory your HCT should be approximately 3x your hemoglobin. So if HCT much higher than 3x hemoglobin it might indicate dehydration from what I understand.
