Hair loss/thinning, 37 years old, Week 33 on TRT

Good morning.

So I'm having hair loss and thinning after 33 weeks of TRT.

Overall, I feel great.

Don't ever wanna go back.

But needless to say, this hair loss/thinning thing is freaking me out.

I've always had great hair.

It's been sort of a signature feature.

I went through the threads, lots of information.

What's the bottom line?

Am I doomed?

Can I get that hair back?

What really works or what works for most men?

Need some help here.

Keep in mind that hair loss is largely genetic, but, yes, your protocol may have an impact on what's going on. What is your protocol? When did you last check DHT levels, and where did they stand?

200mg/1ml per week of testosterone cypionate.

It's been a few months since I last did blood work.

My doctor is Dr. Rand McClain from the Ask the Doc YouTube series.

Also know that some hair shedding, shedding, can be confused for hair loss which is different in that with MPB and the like its the follicle that shrinks and stops producing hair, MPB isn't that hair falls out.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
