I've read some studies that show DHT (or perhaps very very high DHT) may be bad for the heart, or at least may make matters worse if the heart is in a bad situation:

But this isn't widely established as of yet, as far as I can tell. I remember seeing a study about men with very low DHT /also/ having cardiac risk factors, but I can't find it now.
