Free E-Book for Download: Low Libido After Finasteride: Treatment Options

You started finasteride or dutasteride to treat hair loss or an enlarged prostate. Your sex drive dropped. Maybe it recovered when you stopped. Maybe it did not. This guide is for you.

Finasteride and dutasteride are 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (5-ARIs). They block the enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). For most men, reduced libido during treatment reverses after stopping. For a smaller subset, symptoms persist for months or years. That persistent form is called Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS).

This booklet explains what is known, what the tests are, and what men have tried, drawn from the ExcelMale community and the published research. It does not replace medical care. Use it to have a better conversation with your doctor.
