Using Trimix for the first time later today. I’m a little afraid of needles so I got an auto injector off of Amazon. Undecided whether I’m going to use or does anybody have any suggestions? Has anyone ever used one of those? My doctor told me to start with .10. I’m using testosterone cream. No luck. Viagra and everything else no luck. I’m actually excited but nervous about the needle. I’ve watched numerous how to videos. Thank you!! As I said any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As a fairly new tri-mix user myself, I have a couple tips:

  1. Hold yourself and the needle very steady. If you are nervous and shaking around you will damage the tissue worse and create more bruising and pain afterwards.
  2. Press down very firmly on the spot of the injection for as much time as you have afterwards, minimum of one minute, 3-5 would be ideal. This also has a big impact on reducing bruising later.
  3. Make sure you insert the needle fully into the spongy tissue on the sides of the penis. If you inject too shallow and you're just in the top layers of skin, the medication doesn't work.

It seems like a reasonable thing to try and I have read that some people swear by the autoinjectors. I haven't messed with them yet. It probably takes some trial and error to set it up correctly for the type of syringe you have and get the correct depth.

Penile injections are similar to giving yourself TRT injections where at first you can't fathom it, and then you do it very nervously, and eventually it becomes routine and you wonder why it was ever scary.

I’m assuming the entire needle needs to be inserted? We must was it a little bit at the doctors office and the setting they left it on only about half the needle goes in so I adjusted it according to some videos I’ve watched so that the whole needle goes in. With the injector only about half of the needle would be inserted. They had never seen one before or had only heard of them anyway. It’s a quick spring mechanism.

I was going to do my first injection, test injection anyway last night, but I was stuck at work for a little while so I’m doing it for the first time today. These are the needles they gave me and according to Trimix website these are correct. I think I’ve overloaded myself with information from the Internet. It’s good to talk to someone who’s actually use this product. Thanks again for all of your help. Is this the type of needle you use?

I think it depends on the length of your needle. I am using a 31g 5/16" needle which I insert fully. If you have a 1/2" needle, you would not need to insert that fully. Half of a 1/2" needle would be comparable to full insertion of a 5/16" needle.

Yes that is the type of needle I use. I think with that small size needle you want to insert fully or as close to that as possible if using the autoinjector. The one time the trimix failed to work for me, I was nervous and injected with the needle only half inserted. I suspect most of the medication went into the skin instead of the spongy tissue.

I really appreciate your feedback, sorry about some of my grammar. I’m using the voice to text option on my phone this morning. You have given me some very useful information. I’m just really excited to actually get my life back. I’m 52 and have been going back-and-forth for I guess the last year or so with erectile dysfunction. I’m really excited to give this a try. I’m at the point where I don’t even have any confidence anymore it’s hard to approach a woman or whoever i when you know you’re just going to lose your erection three minutes into intercourse. I’ll post results later. Thank you again!

Yeah this is a miracle drug and a game changer. Once you dial in your dose, you have guaranteed erections on demand for as long as you want them. Much preferred over PDE5 inhibitors which are less effective and bother me with side effects for hours after the deed is done.

Totally agree, I have blurry vision for 48 hours after taking 100 mg Viagra not to mention nasal congestion etc.

I hope you aren't going to insert the syringe into the autoinjector without experimenting first with it outside the body. Familiarize yourself VERY thoroughly with its function and action first. Know how to set the stops. There are limitations to the shorter needles. There is some wiggle to the needle as it exits so if you are close to a vein you may hit it whereas injecting by hand, you won't because you can see the precise placement. Nothing wrong with using it but you will likely overcome your fear and be able to do it by hand.

So I actually have to mix it? None of this was ever explained to me imagine that. I’m assuming the larger needle is for the water? Going to have to wait until Tuesday and go back in and ask them how to do this. I was under the impression I would just have to draw it out and inject it.

Thank you! When I was at the doctor, we used a phone cup, and did some practice runs. They didn’t explain to me what the bacteriostatic water is or that I would have to mix it? It looks like I’m going to have to wait and go back down and talk to them Tuesday to figure all this out before taking a chance there’s a larger needle in the box also I’m assuming that’s what’s for the water?

They should have given you written instructions on how to mix the water into the powder and how to handle it a sanitary manner. A bit negligent there. Here's Defy's instructions:
That definitely makes sense, I’ve been looking everywhere for that. I’ve never injected myself with anything, so I make sure I’m doing it correctly. Obviously. Thank you for sharing that.

I can’t get the water to go onto the needle? Thanks for your help. I’m just gonna have to have them. Show me how to do this. I found a video also I don’t know what exactly I’m doing wrong. I’ll keep you updated. Thank you so much for your help and time.

Is the 3ml or 5 or the water? Last question I promise!

Very much so. I’ve gone through at least 10 syringes with water and a styrofoam cup and a paper cup. I still haven’t injected it yet. I’m tempted to have a drink or 2 and just go ahead and do it without the injector. Thank you!

They usually write some simplified instructions on the outside of the box that the water and powder were in. It has your prescription number, name, etc and says mix x-mls of water into the vial of powder. For the procedure, take an alcohol wipe, pop off the metal caps on the vials, take one swipe with the wipe across the top of the vials. Then pull back the syringe to suck in air to however much water it tells you to squirt into the powder, then put it into the water and inject the air, then with the syringe still in there, turn the water vial up and suck out the amount of water required. Pull it out and then take the powder vial, set it down on the counter, put the needle of the water syringe in there and squirt in the water. Now, before you take it out, make sure you are not touching the liquid with the tip of the needle because now you are going to suck out just some air-about the same amount as the liquid that you just put in. Swirl it gently until the powder is all dissolved. When you get ready to inject the prepared mixture, suck in some air into the syringe about the same amount as you want to withdraw liquid from it and insert the needle squirt in the air into the vial, then invert upside down and withdraw the amount you want. If you have any doubts or uncertainty or unclear, call the doc or pharmacy and have them walk you through it right over the phone. That stuff is to expensive to waste or error. Don't be in a hurry.
