Got my results from my physical. What a rigmarole, the poor GP was oozing fear over my TRT blood work demands.
They would not do an Estrogen panel, the suggestion of which nearly caused the poor man to lactate.

Bit of background for me. Just turned 40.

Sex drive is Pretty good still for a dude that has 3 young kids and a tired wife. Morning wood is going away again (I did a 3 month 25 mg a day run of Clomid 3 years ago which brought all that back to life).

I lack some motivation, zest of life is kinda flat lined. Workouts are 5 days a week, still Gym Jones or Mil athlete in programming. I get through them, but often cut some corners, which even 3 years ago, would never be an option.

Thanks for any input.

I honestly don't think your problem is testosterone. Maybe check E2?

You have excellent levels, I wasn't even CLOSE to yours and I am basically half your age. I'd look elsewhere.

My only thought is E2 and is my free test a little low? Low enough to get on the T train?

Don't know. Check E2. If E2 is painfully low, then you've found your problem, and to my knowledge there isn't a way to raise E2 in men other than increasing test.

You're not there yet, so don't worry about TRT. Worry about checking E2.

You need to check prolactin, DHT, and estradiol via the sensitive lab test (LC, MS/MS). Your testosterone level does not point toward hypogonadism.

I agree a few more tests, but things so far look very good for you, not an HRT candidate at this point. I think you're Thyroid numbers look fine, too.

One way to try is with cheap OTC DHEA oral tablets, on pass thru the liver you can get some aromatization, etc

Hmm. Never heard of that, do you know how effective it is? Is it like DIM is for lowering E2? Where it may drop you a couple of points, and isn't for a serious case of high E2?

A number of guys don't tolerate DHEA supplementation with anger issues or feeling PMSy or irritable. HAppened to me. The preferred route for DHEA is an oral micronized capsule which is *supposed* to survive pass thru the liver intact. Or transdermals, even sublingual. All subjective reports of feeling estrogenic but nonetheless I don't think anyone has gone to the trouble of pulling labs or any kind of study.
